Bobby (22), his wife Shirley (19) and his father Lincoln (42) were killed in a head on collision around 4:20am on Hwy 81 in Comal County. Bobby (along with many others) had been discharged from the Air Force at Fort Bliss on Monday and his wife and father had come to pick him up. A news article stated the oncoming driver, another airman had been on temporary duty at a different base and had apparently fallen asleep at the wheel when his car swerved into oncoming traffic. Seven people, four of them airmen were killed in the collision.
